An RTO can look perfectly normal from the outside while wear, fouling, misalignment, or calibration issues are developing inside. That’s why a strong preventive maintenance program goes beyond checking whether the equipment is running it verifies how well the entire system is operating.

What Should a Complete RTO Inspection Cover?

🔍 External Inspection

  • Review operating history, alarms, and recurring faults.
  • Check valves, actuators, dampers, fans, and mechanical components.
  • Inspect the gas train, burners, wiring, and control cabinets.
  • Verify cooling systems, filters, bearings, and lubrication points where applicable.

🔧 Internal Inspection

  • Examine valve seating and damper condition.

  • System airflow and pressure measurements
