Ship & Shore Environmental, Inc. proudly presents the successful implementation of the Smart 3-Can Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) at an electronics factory in ChangShu City, JiangSu Province, China. This custom air pollution control system exemplifies our commitment to designing, engineering, and constructing innovative solutions for mitigating air pollutant emissions.
Design and Components
System Name and Type: Smart 3-Can RTO
Purpose and Location: To abate air pollutant emissions at an electronics factory in ChangShu City, JiangSu Province, China.
Key Components and Materials: Main Isolation Damper (Imported materials from the United States).
Design Specifications:
- VOCs Flow 1: 22,000 NCMH with 5,000 mg/Nm3 Direct to RTO
- VOCs Flow 2: 30,000 NCMH with 300 mg/Nm3 going into Concentrator 10 to 1 ratio, 3,000 NCMH with 2,900 mg/Nm3 to RTO.
Design Criteria:
- Extraction (m3/h): 31,000
- Concentration (mg/m3): ≤5000
Other Parameter Data:
- Oil Heating Requirements: 1,100,000 Kcal
- Initial Oil Temperature: 35℃
- Final Oil Temperature: 250~260℃, dropping to 230℃ and continuing
- Oil Flow: 120 CMH

- Temperature: -14.8ᵒC (rarely happens) to 38ᵒC, average of 15.5ᵒC
- Altitude: 12m

- Monitoring and Control: HMI Screen on the control cabinet for remote monitoring, control, and adjustments. Explosion-proof features in the electric control room and all control cabinets.
