Ship & Shore Environmental recently engineered, designed, and installed a cutting-edge Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) solution serving the Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) industry. With a capacity of 17,000 SCFM, the RTO was tailored to abate pentane emissions, showcasing remarkable efficiency with 98% destruction efficiency and 95% media thermal effectiveness. The unit’s advanced features include a pre-filter and hot bypass stack and damper, as well as a separate condenser system and dehumidifier, ensuring comprehensive emission control. Moreover, the RTO is designed for seamless integration and operation, featuring prewiring for minimal electrical field work and an integrated VPN for remote assessment. Ship & Shore Environmental oversaw the installation and startup process, guaranteeing a smooth transition to enhanced environmental compliance for the facility. This project underscores Ship & Shore Environmental’s commitment to delivering innovative, high-performance air pollution control solutions tailored to the specific needs of its clients in the EPS industry.
