RTO and Secondary Heat Recovery

Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) technology has long been considered the go-to technology for process industry VOC abatement.  RTOs are capable of achieving very high destruction efficiencies (up to 99%) and are very thermal efficient (generally 95 to 97%).  Even at these high thermal efficiencies, there is opportunity to recover waste heat off the RTO exhaust stack.

Depending on specific conditions, this waste energy can be used to assist in process air heating or provide building winter heat.  Hot water / steam or oil heating could also supplement process needs – many of which can qualify for possible incentive rebates from local utility providers.

In an effort to provide value added service, Ship & Shore Environmental Sales & Application Engineers can work with customers to improve process conditions up or downstream of abatement equipment to provide an overall best value system.
