Ship & Shore Environmental's Innovative Approach to Emission Control for Automotive Battery Manufacturing

In response to the increasing demand for electric vehicles, Ship & Shore Environmental spearheaded a pivotal project to design and implement a 500 SCFM Direct Fired Thermal Oxidizer (DFTO) for a leading automotive battery cell manufacturing facility in Hayward, CA.

With a focus on compliance with stringent Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) regulations, the DFTO was tailored to efficiently treat volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted during the manufacturing process. From conceptualization to installation and commissioning, our team ensured seamless integration and optimal performance of the system. By achieving a remarkable destruction efficiency rate of 98%, the DFTO not only ensures regulatory compliances but also minimizes the environmental impact of operations.

This success underscores Ship & Shore Environmental’s commitment to delivering innovative emission control solutions, positioning us to support clients in navigating evolving regulatory landscapes and driving sustainable growth in the automotive industry.

As the automotive industry continues its transition towards electric vehicles, Ship & Shore Environmental remains poised to support clients in navigating evolving regulatory landscapes and achieving sustainable growth through cutting-edge emission control solutions.
