In Williamson’s word, Oskouian took a personal belief and turned it into a business, engaging both her personal values and her interest in engineering. The conversation that ensues explores Oskouian’s personal experiences and challenges since starting S&SE in 2000 and how she recollects them. One challenge Oskouian addresses is the worldwide shut down due to the Covid-19 outbreak of March 2020. This challenge had the potential to become a disadvantage to S&SE but was instead taken as an opportunity for innovation.
