Although California is a leader when it comes to reducing GHG emissions, it is still the 13th largest source of GHG in the world, ahead of France, Brazil, Australia and Saudi Arabia.
Annual average temperatures in California have increased about 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit and continue to rise, the report found since 1895. The length and severity of summer heat waves have also increased. Since 1990, California is using more solar and wind power, but the amount of GHG emission still increased 3 percent.
