March 10, 2025 7:47 amAM Monday - Heat Exchanger Maintenance
Ensure efficient heat recovery and prevent fouling or degradation.
Tasks:
- Visual Inspections: Perform regular visual checks for signs of cracks, corrosion, or physical damage to the heat exchanger.
- Cleaning: Remove any debris or particulate build-up from the heat exchanger surfaces to ensure optimal heat transfer.
- Check for Fouling: Inspect for the presence of oil, soot, or other substances that could cause fouling. Use brushes or pressure washing as needed to clean the media.
- Check Insulation: Ensure that insulation around the heat exchanger is intact and not showing signs of wear or degradation.
- Check for Leaks: Look for any air or gas leaks that might reduce efficiency, especially at joints or seals.
- Pressure Test: Periodically perform a pressure test to ensure there is no drop in system pressure, which could indicate leaks or blockages.
Frequency: Inspect monthly, clean quarterly, and check for leaks annually.
